Sarah Daitch is a mediator, facilitator and trainer, specializing in public dispute resolution and natural resource issues – she is the founder and principal of Daitch & Associates.
Sarah has six years professional experience in consensus building for public disputes in Canada, the US and Europe, as well as supporting dispute resolution initiatives in Latin America, Asia and Africa. Sarah works with governments, non-profits and companies on collaborative problem solving for public policy and natural resource challenges. She also works as a trainer, developing skills for interest based negotiation and mediation with a focus on sustainable development issues. Previously, Sarah worked as Program Manager for ACCESS Facility in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Sarah has facilitated collaborative processes on a range of issues including health, education and natural resources. Her previous clients include Canadian territorial governments, US conflict resolution organizations RESOLVE and the Consensus Building Institute, and a Swiss Foundation - Peace Nexus. Sarah worked on a series of projects focused on how to harness extractive revenues for the well-being and development of citizens. She also has mediation experience in small business disputes and dispute resolution cases for Canadian sport organizations. Sarah is a qualified mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada, and holds an MA in Dispute Resolution and a BA in International Relations. She was raised in Inuit, Dene and Metis communities in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and was a 2013-2014 Action Canada Fellow.
